The Institute was founded by a small group of researchers with the aim to undertake scientific research on an international level and within an international perspective. The main focus of the Institute is research on education, social science and antisemitism.

The researchers understand their task as a commitment to a better understanding of social phenomena in order to develop more effective strategies to combat discrimination and antisemitism. Thus, the research of education concepts is one of our main focuses.

Research fields are currently:

• Origins and background of antisemitism
• Development and evaluation of strategies to combat antisemitism

The Institute/Study Group provides reports, brochures and other publications covering the main fields of research mentioned above.

The Institute/Study Group organizes workshops and international conferences to address the issues mentioned above and to facilitate the exchange of scholarly information on the subject of antisemitism. The Institute seeks to enable scholars and researchers to communicate research and teaching interests, discuss methodology, comment upon current historiography, as well as to discuss different approaches to combat antisemitism.
