Regional Meeting for Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein in Hamburg: Exchange, Networking, and Knowledge Transfer on Preventing and Combating Antisemitism

On July 1, the IIBSA hosted the regional meeting in Hamburg. Together with representatives from civil society initiatives against antisemitism, Jewish communities, reporting centers, universities, and Jewish organizations from Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein, we discussed current issues and counter-strategies.

In light of national and international developments, we analyzed the situation in the various federal states and regions, exchanged experiences, and identified potential areas of focus for future efforts to prevent and combat antisemitism.

We were particularly pleased to have Anna von Villiez join us; she had been appointed the previous day as the new Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Combating and Prevention of Antisemitism in Hamburg.

We would like to thank all participants for the in-depth and trusting dialogue. Building on this foundation, we will continue to work together to strengthen our efforts against antisemitism.
