Beim Vernetzungstreffen zur Antisemitismusprävention in Nordrhein-Westfalen kamen Akteur:innen aus 8 Städten zusammen, um sich über aktuelle Herausforderungen und Handlungsansätze in der Antisemitismusprävention auszutauschen. Vertreten waren Fachleute aus der Zivilgesellschaft, jüdischen und nicht-jüdischen Hochschulgruppen, der Antidiskriminierungsberatung, Meldestellen, Gewerkschaften, dem Monitoring antisemitischer Vorfälle, aus Lehre und Forschung sowie aus dem aktivistischen Bereich.
Am 20.06.2025 veranstaltete das IIBSA im Rahmen des Projekts digiLabs – Digitalisierung und Künstliche Intelligenz gegen Antisemitismus einen Workshop zu rechtlichen Aspekten der Nutzung von Künstlicher Intelligenz. Join us for the book launch of “Responses to 7 October,” a major three-volume anthology of diverse intellectual responses to and reactions to the horrific acts perpetrated by Hamas on October 7. David Hirsh, co-editor, and Anna Zawadzka, contributor, will introduce the book and provide insights into its creation and the significance of its contents.
The conference aims to address the resurgence of antisemitism in the wake of recent global events. The conference will feature a series of sessions led by prominent scholars and researchers, including Alejandro Baer, David Hirsh, Günther Jikeli, Karin Stögner and Kim Robin Stoller. The conference will explore various dimensions of antisemitism, including the resurgence of antisemitism in the 21st century, feminist critical theory after October 7, the historical evolution of antisemitism from events such as the Gaza flotilla and BDS to October 7, and the complex relationship between the UN and Israel. Sessions will also address the role of social media post-October 7 and specific case studies such as antisemitism in Spain.
